EDITORIAL REVIEW

Editorial review

Authors submitting an article for potential publication in *Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Agrícolas* must submit the complete documentation—in its final version—as specified in the section regarding submission requirements for original manuscripts. Once the editorial team verifies that the submission meets all requirements, the text will undergo an editorial review process comprising the following stages:

1. In accordance with editorial policy, manuscripts that fail to comply with the formatting instructions for authors will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be automatically withdrawn from consideration.

2. The manuscript must pass a review using the tool approved by the editorial committee; only after this step is completed may the subsequent stages of the editorial review proceed.

3. The submitted text will be verified for alignment with the journal's aims and scope. Works that do not explicitly include a regional dimension as a significant component will not be considered.

4. The text will be checked for compliance with every formatting specification outlined in the requirements for manuscript submission and delivery, as well as the guidelines for authors.

5. The bibliography will be reviewed to ensure it is relevant and up-to-date, and that it is formatted in accordance with the journal's citation standards and APA guidelines.

6. In accordance with the editorial policy guidelines approved by the editorial committee, priority will be given to manuscripts where the cited literature is managed electronically and includes active hyperlinks to the respective DOIs, wherever applicable.

Once the submitted article passes the editorial review, the corresponding author will be formally notified that the manuscript has been registered and that the academic peer review process has commenced on the OJS platform.
